FAQ

Useful answers before you install.

Does HourTide need to be open all day?

No. Once the workplace is saved and Always Location is allowed, iOS can wake the app when you arrive or leave the saved area.

Can I edit a shift if automatic tracking gets it wrong?

Yes. You can adjust shift start and end times, add a break, add notes, or delete a shift if it was only a test.

How do breaks work?

Breaks are added manually so you stay in control. You can add one after a shift, choose a quick length, or fine-tune it minute by minute.

Does it track my exact route?

No. HourTide is designed around the saved workplace area, not route tracking. It needs location permission to react to arrival and leaving events.

Will there be a widget?

Yes. HourTide includes a widget for a quick view of today, week, and month totals without opening the app.
